The Annual General Meeting is an important event for members and federation

FEDECRAIL is a federation. This means it is made up of cooperating institutions, but with each member maintaining its independence. Within FEDECRAIL these cooperating institutions usually referred to as the FEDECRAIL members, there are 13 national heritage umbrella organizations. Also, there are individual organisations that are members.

This means that in total about 460 heritage rail organizations from 28 countries are connected through FEDECRAIL. Each member has a vote or votes at the FEDECRAIL meeting. The members are the powerful backbone of FEDECRAIL. Once a year the members make the decisions about the previous year, this year, and the longer-term future. This is in accordance with the constitution of our organization, which is based in Brugge (Belgium), and is therefore governed by Belgian law.
