European Steel and Coal Heritage Conference: Katowice Declaration

This successful conference was held in Katowice, Poland on Thu 10.04 and Fri 11.04. It was well attended with 138 participants, both from Poland and several other European countries. The business session included presentations made by Jaap Nieweg (Fedecrail, former President) and Rik Degruyter (Fedecrail Board Member).

As with the 2023 conference, also in Katowice, it was felt important to produce a follow up statement of key issues which could be taken forward by Fedecrail and by our colleagues on the WIMH Working Industrial and Mobile Heritage platform group –the Declaration of Katowice on the future of Industrial & Mobile Heritage.  Efforts are being made to circulate the Declaration as widely as possible at both national and international levels, so please feel free to forward the Declaration to both heritage and other organisations.
