Museum Railways and the European Cultural Heritage 2018

2018 has been designated European Year of Cultural Heritage. The European Commission’s aim is to get more people interested in Europe’s cultural heritage and to give them a sense of belonging to a common European area. The motto for the year is: “Our heritage – link between past and future”. The historic railways are also called upon to place their activities under this motto in 2018. Here is an example from the Netherlands: The “Stichting Museum Buurtspoorweg” (MBS) uses a banner to draw attention to the Year of Cultural Heritage.
